Loved every roll at this place. Good recommendations from staff. Rolls NOT small like some other places. 2 of us ate 3 rolls and it was almost too much food. Other person got salmon teriyaki and it was FRESH fish. Look forward to going back. So nice to find this place!

Really unique sushi rolls here, as well as Korean style sashimi & other Korean dishes. For apps we had the calamari rings. These were super thick and served with a barbecue marinara sauce combination. We also tried three signature rolls here, all of which tasted decently fresh. The smoky tempura roll was indeed smoky, and very saucy + slightly sweet. Definitely a unique roll! The Suro Titanic roll was HUGE. Jaw breaking even. The name was very fitting. We also had the Sushi + Sashimi + Roll Combo. I really liked the spicy tuna roll, but I thought the rest of the fish quality on the nigiri and sashimi wasn't anything crazy. Lastly we had the spicy kimchi ramen! Yum! Service was inconsistent. Some workers were nice and others not. We finished with complimentary mochi ice cream which was awesome! Casual ambience.

I took my date here and got the $45 not in the menu secret item fresh octopus that was still moving! I been seen it in the past and I wanted to feel the suction of the legs and finally got to try. I like it and it's fun to eat. They had Xmas lights up and have a nice interior. Lost Of Koran I heard Service was great and we also ordered the caterpillar roll and rainbow roll. My date said it was so-so as they were very picky coming from Japan and I enjoyed it. My fave was the octopus for it was what I came here for and bite: to avoid choking; makes sure you chew well and add color to your dish. I would come back

Nice waitresses. Rolls were pretty big. Only need one role per person to get full. Plenty of fish on top of the roll. Hamachi Kama: 5 stars. Plenty of meat. Crispy skin. Good ponzu sauce. Crispy rice with spicy tuna: 4.5 stars. This one was my favorite with the crispy rice and spicy tuna. The texture also contrast well. Plenty of kick from the spicy tuna. S dragon roll: 3.5 stars. salmon and avocado over shrimp tempura roll. Good flavors. Spider man: 3 stars. Was pretty spicy. Decent flavors but nothing stood out. Hamachi lover: 2 stars. plenty of hamachi inside and out. 2 stars because the hamachi inside had an odor I didn't care for. Overall it's a decent sushi restaurant with lots of options.

Came to Suro with friends, we were seated right away on a Friday night. Parking is easy to find. The service here was phenomenal! Our waiter was very friendly. We ordered the Sunshine, Suro Titanic, and the Santa Cruz roll. The fish here is fresh and the size of the specialty rolls are more than enough to fill you up! We ordered a round of Sake Bombs and the waiter taught us how to properly do them. It was such a fun experience and I will definitely add this to my list of top sushi spots in SJ!

Yummy! My fiance found this spot via yelp and I'm glad we gave it a try. The restaurant is huge with plenty of seating and an open layout. Service was great and the waitress was Korean so it was nice chatting with her. She recommended the galbi over bulgogi and I'm glad we gave it a try. It was perfectly sweet and nicely charred. The sushi was huge and great for the price. Will be back!

I am so glad I found this place! My party of 4 got seated right away at 8:45pm on a Friday night. It was lively and we instantly were feeling the Friday night vibes here. The service was amazing! All of the people who were working were attentive and very conversational, even though it was busy. We truly appreciated the interactions we had with staff. Food: very delicious as well. The pieces atop the sushi rolls were FAT -- when I mean FAT, I mean F A T. It was packed inside and out. We ordered a couple appetizers and really loved the homemade Tonkatsu sauce :) I will be returning with my family. I love how they stay open until 10pm, since not many places in the area are open past 9pm. Thank you!
